Recently some tune popped into my head. I knew it was from a video game, but I just couldn't pinpoint it. After doing some searching I suddenly realized it was from Sonic 3D Blast, in Rusty Ruin Zone. Found the song on youtube:

This is probably the best song in any Sonic game, and maybe the best on the Genesis. It's one of those amazing game tunes that's ridiculously catchy and just sounds.. awesome. Brings back good memories!

Music: Mindthings
A while back I found out about some really nice music from a minecraft video I watched. The artist is called Mindthings, it's ambient electric/piano music with a beat. It is very soothing and pleasant, so I recommend it to anyone who wants music to help them relax.
The album I've been listening to is called "Life's Path". Download it here.
Some of my favorite songs are "Emotion Vibes", "Life's Things", and "Cold Water". The songs vary a lot in complexity and instrumentation, check them out!

Anime, Music: Two catchy AMVs.
When I went to anime club recently, I saw two AMVs (anime music videos) that caught my attention, because they were very well made and had catchy music. One uses the song "Dream a Dream" by Captain Jack, and features clips from the movie "Paprika". The other uses the song "Mad World" by Tears for Fears, and features clips from the show "Paranoia Agent". Both Paprika and Paranoia Agent were directed by Satoshi Kon, a man who made many intriguing things in his lifetime. He has since passed away, but his films are as vivid as ever (I watched Perfect Blue again recently, it was still awesome).

Video, Music: Minecraft Ant Farm (Computer People)
Here is a really charming Minecraft video I have had bookmarked for a while.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqfVTPyONJk
The song that plays is called "Computer People" by Dj Red Light. It matches the spirit of Minecraft perfectly, little people running around making amazing things happen. I like the beat and especially the computer-speech-synth-generated lyrics.
"They dont ask for anything for their hard work and dedication, only a little love"
I love how the voice says "don't" as "dont".

Music, Game: Marathon Phoenix
I recently found a new awesome Marathon scenario! It's called Marathon Phoenix, and was made by a guy who's basically the only dedicated Marathon mapmaker left in the whole world, who goes by RyokoTK. A little bit more info about the scenario here.
So yeah, it's really challenging and a lot of fun to play. But half the reason I like it is because of its amazing soundtrack. It has a different feel than Eternal, which was generally peaceful, and Squadron, which was more industrial. The soundtrack of Marathon Phoenix consists of really short & sweet electronic tracks, which serve to bring out the action in the game even more.
Here's a sample: http://www.supload.com/listen?s=wloxEF
That's a good example of one of the action tracks, but there's some excellent songs that are more laid-back in the game as well. Having said this, "Animosity" and "Chronological" are some of my favorites.
Here's a zip file with the rest of the songs: http://www.mediafire.com/?656bmhieccxta4a
(these are really good biking songs btw)

Starting this thing up again
Hello (nonexistant) world!
Today I am starting this blog back up again, and I will update it in my spare time with brief blurbs on:
- music
- anime
- games
- etc.
...for anyone who is interested. Specifically, I am restarting this for my sister and her friend, but it's stuff I'm interested in so the blog will basically just stay the same as it was before.
Will update later today!
